The Bear Factory
The Bear Factory has been doing things the right way for more than 20 years — eco-friendly materials, sustainable practices, and premium quality plush products that kids love and parents feel good about. As a family-owned business with a genuine mission, they had a strong foundation. What they needed was a brand presence that matched it.
In a market full of disposable toys, The Bear Factory is exactly the kind of brand Hardy Branding + Design exists to serve.
Brought in through InsideOut Design + Development, our team was asked to help evolve The Bear Factory’s brand, in conjunction with the website design. The work spoke for itself — and led to a broader brand engagement to elevate the identity as a whole.

Brandscape
The BrandScape process is where visual strategy begins — exploring color, typography, photography direction, and graphic style to define a clear visual identity. For The Bear Factory, the strategic move wasn’t a reinvention. It was elevation — preserving the brand equity they’d built over two decades while sharpening every element that would carry them forward.

Website Design
B2B With a Smile
Most B2B websites feel like a boardroom. This one feels like an invitation — designed to bring out the kid in every business owner considering the plush business.
Built from the BrandScape
Every color, font, and visual decision in the website design traces directly back to the BrandScape — proof that when the strategic foundation is right, everything built on top of it clicks into place.
Warm Introduction
The messaging and imagery convey the inviting, playful, and kid-friendly tone of the brand — making visitors feel immediately welcome and confident in what they’re buying.
Brand Voice & Copywriting
Key messaging from the BrandScript process gave The Bear Factory a clear, confident voice — including their brand tagline, “Plush with a Purpose.”
Animated Illustrations
Scroll-triggered animation brings the site’s custom illustrations to life — adding a layer of delight that reinforces the brand’s playful, handcrafted personality.
Textures
The employment of textures throughout the site transforms the digital nature of the website into something that feels handmade and reflective of the brand.
Real Family
Photos of real children from The Bear Factory’s own family playing with their products bring authentic warmth to every page — no stock photos, no staged shots.
Logo Update
The Bear Factory’s logo required only a few updates — but those updates mattered.
The blue was shifted to a deeper navy that works more harmoniously with the full color palette, and the green was adjusted for better visibility on white. Small changes, intentional reasoning. It was never about overhauling an established brand — it was about ensuring a recognizable mark would stand the test of time.
Additional refinements were made to the logo construction to improve consistency across digital and print applications. For a brand that appears at large scale, this attention to detail is essential.
Icon Library
Icons are one of the most versatile tools in a brand’s visual system — communicating concepts clearly, whether they’re supporting copy or standing on their own.
For The Bear Factory, we designed every icon with the brand’s friendly, handcrafted personality in mind. Using a combination of solid and dashed lines, each icon feels drawn by hand — fun and approachable, while remaining grounded and recognizable. The resulting library was built for use across the website, print materials, and social media.

Social Media Templates
A brand is only as strong as its consistency — and consistency requires tools.
To ensure The Bear Factory’s team could create on-brand content without starting from scratch every time, we developed a library of social media templates built in Canva. Four distinct styles with color and design variations give their team flexibility to keep content fresh — while staying unmistakably on-brand across every post.
The result: a team equipped to show up consistently on social media, without needing a designer for every piece of content.
Brand Guide
A brand guide ensures that every piece of content and design maintains a unified appearance as a brand grows — strengthening recognition and building trust at every touchpoint.
For The Bear Factory, we developed a comprehensive guide covering logo usage, color palette, typography, photography and illustration styles, and tone of voice — giving their team and partners a clear, consistent foundation to build from.
